Ingredients: 18 baby potatoes 1 tablespoon oil 3 rashers bacon, chopped 2 onions, sliced in rings 3 tablespoons butter 200 g fresh mushrooms, chopped 3 tablespoons sherry 6 slices fillet or rump steak
Method: 1.Boil the baby potatoes with or without their skins until done. 2.In the meantime: Heat the oil in a pan and fry the chopped bacon in the heated oil until done. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon. 3.Add the butter to the pan and fry the onion rings until soft and translucent. Add the mushrooms and stir fry for another two minutes. 4.Add the cooked bacon and the sherry. Stir through and heat well. 5.Cook the steaks as desired. 6.Top every cooked steak with 3 baby potatoes and spoon the mushroom, bacon and onion topping on top. 7.Serve immediately as a main course accompanied by crisp cooked green vegetables in season.
