15ml oil
600g beef mince
1 onions, diced
3 carrots, diced
30ml (2 Tbs) flour
1 5ml (1 Tbs) Robertsons Dried Mixed Herbs
30ml (2 Tbs) chopped fresh parsley
375ml hot water
1 Knorrox Stock Cube Beef
15ml (1 Tbs) tomato paste
Salt and pepper to taste
8 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
60ml Rama Margarine
375ml (1 ½ cups) milk
1 sachet KNORR Potato Bake Bacon & Onion
125ml ( ½ cup) cheese, grated |
| Method: |

1.Preheat the oven to 200°C.
2.Meat filling:Heat oil in a large frying pan & add the beef mince. Fry for 1min, add onions, carrots & fry until the mince is cooked. Mix in flour, mixed herbs & parsley.
3.Combine hot water, stock cube and tomato paste. Mix together & add to the mince mixture. Season with salt & pepper and lower heat to simmer for 15min, stirring occasionally until most of the liquid has been absorbed. Spoon the mixture into a 20 X 20cm ovenproof dish.
4.To make the potato topping:Place diced potatoes in a medium sized pot. Cover with water & bring to the boil over high heat. Boil for 20min until the potatoes are cooked. Drain. Mash the potatoes until smooth & then add the margarine.
5.Mix the Knorr Potato Bake Bacon & Onion packet contents with a little milk to make a paste & stir in the remaining milk. Add to the mashed potato & mash until well combined.
6.Spread the potatoes over the mince mixture & sprinkle with cheese.
7.Bake in a preheated oven for 25min |
