MPUMALANGA

Statistics presented on this page represent a production season from 1 July to 30 June the following year.

Mpumalanga is one of the six largest seed potato production areas in South Africa.  Fields are usually planted from August to November and are harvested from January to June.

All seed production in this region are certified by only 4 growers.  This region also houses the original Foundation Seed Farm in the mountains in the eastern highveld.
