SOUTHERN CAPE
Statistics presented on this page represent a production season from 1 July to 30 June the following year.
The Southern Cape produces seed potatoes throughout the year. This region does not play a major role in seed potato production in South Africa.
This region traditionally produced good seed potatoes. Although seed production has been insignificant the last five years, it is expected that seed production will increase. This region may become more important for seed production as a result of problems experienced in some other seed production regions.
