  • There is only one potato planting, a winter crop, planted from July to October.
• Marketing period:  
  • The winter crop is marketed from November to April.
• Processing:             
  • Nearly 10% of the table potato crop is processed.
• Cultivars:  
  • The main cultivars are - BP1, Van der Plank and Buffelspoort.
• Other:   
  • This region also produces other vegetables including lettuce, carrots, cabbage, etc.
