Objective
To ascertain the current state of the potato enterprises with respect to empowerment and transformation.
Process
1. Statistician
- We need a statistician to develop a method to conduct a BEE baseline study using a representative sample.
- The method should indicate how to get that sample
- The sample should achieve 80% accuracy rate
- The sample should represent the dynamics of potato production, in terms of size of production region, size of enterprise, ha planted, etc.
2. BEE rating and verification
- Request proposals from accredited BEE rating and verification agencies
- Select an agency or agencies to conduct the study
- The sampled farmers will be rated and their scorecards verified
- BEE certificates will be issued to the sampled farmers
3. Results
The results of the study will be analysed and presented to Potatoes South Africa
